I've been at war with rabbits, june bugs and long stints of dry weather, but so far all the apple trees are alive and settling into their new home in the back pasture. I'm finally mulching the last handful of them that have desperately needed it. Progress!

...compared to 5 months ago (Feb). They were all 4-5 feet tall before the rabbits got to them. The little twerps nibbled them down to about 6 inches. Most of the grafts (shockingly) survived.

cilantro came in slow, stayed small, and then bolted in a blink. That's not a good use of my time or garden space. Too bad b/c we love, love cilantro

She desperately wanted to jump but she couldn't convince her feet to leave to edge. We cheered for her, we clapped, we demanded that she could do it. Nope  😂

She finally asked Mike to carefully drop her in. Despite the help, she panicked, forgot to hold her breath, screamed, flailed and inhaled a mouth-full of water.

She says she'll use the ladder from now on. We'll see.
